Yes drum with gears on both sides is better design for the life of gear teeth. The frame on F2 being cast aluminum would flex and break if only driven on one side.

Glad we got the rain showers done today. Fri-Sun looking almost perfect. A little cooler in 70’s is nice for launching and the river portions. Hope to be in the parking lot by 3 Friday.
