With Mercruiser, you are back on the water the same day or the next. I end up with a Volvo a year, somehow...and all of them have needed fuel pumps (low & hi pressure version to the tune of $700 for just the pump, plus shipping) and they were all low hour boats. After last year, I put them on the "nauti list" for this year.

Does Bald Mike risk being spotted in Michigan without coming to Higgins Lake Crownline Day on Saturday?

Sure would be something to say that we had a fellow Crownie (along with his brother who lives in MI) who came all the way from Nebraska to stand in the clear waters of Higgins Lake, wiggle his toes in the nice soft sand and hoist a cold one with some of his Michigan brethern. Heck, that might get a guy more than a couple free beers.

Lots of nice boats in northern Michigan that would sell fast back home.

If for some odd reason we don't see you on Saturday, enjoy the fishing.

Mike's favorite colors, too!

What were these boat manufacturers thinking in the mid-90's? Baja, Formula, Fountain? Just because Sonny Crockett and Rico Tubbs wore those colors does notmean they look cool on a boat! Got to give credit to Crownline with their timeless colors and designs. Other than some of the cabin decor, very tastefullydone and will never shoe their age.

Maybe while you're in the area you could sea trial that $900,000 boat, even tow it around a while to see if you REALLY like it.
