Agree!! doubt you would have a leg to stand on if it comes off a private vehicle, but if is from a commercial truck or someone pulling a trailer full of gravel (private or not) that would be justifiable.

Years ago, I got hit by a rock that came off a cement truck, it came flying so fast that the inside glass shattered and had glass fragments on the back seat where my son was sitting. Thank GOD he wasn't hurt, and I'm glad I didn't get any on my eyes.
Turned around and caught up with the driver and the company replaced my windshield.

So, that about the sticker saying "Not Responsible", not all sure about that.

Private or commercial truck. Both have a duty to secure their load. Those signs on the rear of trucks stating they are not responsible is nonsense. They are responsible for their load!!!!!

I am speaking on Ohio Law...

Several yrs ago a semi trailer I was behind blew a tire at 65 mph All I could do was wince as about 3' strip of tread whacked the hood and windshield. This was morning rush hr commute in Chi. on my way to work. Truck kept going so I chased him down got in front of him and waved him over. He reluctantly stopped and immediately proclaimed he couldnt be responsible for a blowout. I told him no but your companies ins co is! Forget the exact amount but they paid me like $1500 based on a bodyshop quote i got.

Default rock loads

I received a shattered windshield 2 year ago from this and actually had the video going on my phone as it laid on the dash of our pickup. I noticed alot coming down and was staying back when BAM there went the windshield. I took it straight to the asphalt company office and without arguement they paid for windshield replacement. I did my best not to start yelling but it happened, for a short moment.

I think I already knew the answer, but always wanted to ask.

Bob, I was on 275 in Sharonville, so it was probably out of your area. I know you are on 71 south of 275, but don't think you reach to 275 do you??
