Can turkey fryer peanut oil be used for conversion to biodiesel for trucks???? Just noticed that I have a few gallons in the basement that were used and no longer good for frying anymore.
If the stuff can be used for diesels, where would I take it???

You have to do some work in order to make it suitable for use in a modern diesel engine. Tracy Cook bought one of the conversion kits, but I haven't heard how well it works for him. Actually, I haven't seen anything on here from him in quite a while. Tracy, are you still around?????

I know that there have been news stories around here about businesses that convert oil into bio-diesel. So I would say yes, it can be done. Not sure how you would do it though.

I am looking for a place to take the stuff. If its re-usable, I'd rather give it to someone to recycle rather than just dump it.

Yes, it can be used for WVO bio diesel, Waste Vegetable Oil.
I think most of it is made in garages though. I'm sure if you search for bio diesel you can find some local connections. Or check with restaurants since folks making bio work with them to get their old oil. But ya, don't add it straight cause you'll end up like Galo's post.

Some people just don't get it. Back in the day, you might get away with dumping other "crap" in and burning it. Today not so much to say the least.
